Business Brokerage
Business Brokerage in Ghana
Buy-side and sell-side representation for Ghanaian businesses, from valuation and buyer search through negotiation to completion.
Selling a business is usually a once-in-a-career decision, made under time pressure, with the other side better practised at it than you are. Brokerage exists to correct that imbalance: to prepare the business properly, reach the right buyers rather than the nearest ones, and hold the process together through to completion.
We act on both sides of a transaction, though never on both sides of the same one. On a sale that means preparing the information a serious buyer will demand, establishing a defensible asking price, approaching buyers discreetly, and managing the negotiation. On an acquisition it means defining the mandate, screening targets, and pressure-testing what the seller has told you before money moves.
Discretion matters throughout. Staff, customers and suppliers learning that a business is for sale before the owner is ready to tell them can damage the very value being sold.

Common questions
- How long does it take to sell a business in Ghana?
- It varies with size, sector and how well prepared the business is. The preparation stage, getting financial records, contracts and licences in order, is usually the part owners underestimate, and time invested there tends to shorten everything that follows. We give an indicative timeline after an initial review of the business.
- Will my staff and customers find out the business is for sale?
- Not through us. Buyers are approached on a no-names basis first, and detailed information is released only after a confidentiality agreement is signed. Controlling when and how the news is shared is part of the mandate.
- Do I need a valuation before I can list?
- Yes. Going to market without a defensible number invites either a price no buyer will meet or one that leaves value behind. Valuation is normally the first piece of work, and it also surfaces the issues a buyer's due diligence would otherwise find later.
